The AP-AW1S is built as a stable x86 industrial HMI platform designed for environments that demand multi-touch responsiveness, scratch resistance and an easy-to-clean glass surface. The 10-point projected-capacitive touchscreen (≥6H, JIS-5400) supports bare-finger and thin-glove input, modern gesture-based UIs and frequent washdown-adjacent cleaning cycles.

Engineered for AGV/AMR controllers, CNC operator stations, food-processing lines and outdoor kiosks, the AP-AW1S features an IP65-rated front bezel that provides complete protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. When to Choose Capacitive Touch

Capacitive touch is preferred for modern HMI software with gesture-based UIs, for washdown-adjacent food-processing lines, and for outdoor kiosks where surface hardness and easy cleaning matter. For thick industrial gloves, stylus pressure or wet-with-debris environments, the resistive AP-AW1G  may be the better choice.

Should I choose capacitive (AP-AW1S) or resistive (AP-AW1G) touch?
Choose the capacitive AP-AW1S for multi-touch gestures, bare-finger or thin-glove use, easy glass cleaning, and bright/outdoor settings. Choose the resistive AP-AW1G when operators wear thick industrial gloves, use a stylus, or work in wet-with-debris conditions. Both models share the same x86 platform and I/O.
Does the touchscreen work with gloves?
Yes — with bare fingers and thin industrial gloves, via the 10-point projected-capacitive (P-CAP) sensor. For thick cut-resistant gloves, or screens frequently flooded with water and debris, the resistive AP-AW1G is the better fit, since its pressure-based input is unaffected by gloves or surface contamination.
Is the display readable in bright or outdoor conditions?
Yes. The 400-nit 10.1″ panel (1280×800, 16:10) stays readable under bright factory lighting and partial outdoor use. The true-flat ≥6H (JIS-5400) glass resists scratches and frequent IPA/disinfectant wipe-downs, and optically bonded options are available for high-ambient-light or outdoor kiosk deployments.
